How Do I Close My Yeeld Account?

Step-by-step instructions on securely closing your Yeeld account

If you have decided to close your Yeeld account, follow these steps to ensure the process is completed securely and smoothly:

Navigating to Account Closure:

  • Open the Yeeld app and select ‘More’ from the bottom menu.
  • Scroll down and select the ‘Close Account’ tab.

Pre-Closure Requirements:

  • Ensure your account balance is zero. If there are remaining funds, transfer them out of the account first.
  • A pop-up notification will remind you to transfer all funds before proceeding with the closure.

Providing Feedback:

  • Before you can close your account, you will be asked to provide a reason for your decision. You can select from the standard options or choose ‘Other’ to write your reason in your own words.

Confirming Account Closure:

  • Click ‘Confirm Deletion’ at the bottom of the screen.
  • For security purposes, enter your password and a One-Time Passcode (OTP) sent to your registered device to confirm your decision. Note that this action is irreversible.
  • Once confirmed, your account will be closed, and a notification will appear to confirm the process is complete.

Retention of Transaction Logs:

  • Please note that, in compliance with financial regulations, we are required to keep a log of all your transactions for a minimum of 7 years, even after your account has been closed.
