What If I Have Pending Refunds or Chargebacks for a Cancelled Virtual Card?
If you've cancelled a virtual card, your pending refunds or chargebacks may still be processed—but there are a few things you need to know.
Pending Refunds
If you’ve cancelled a Yeeld virtual card and a merchant tries to issue a refund to it, the refund may be rejected depending on how they send the payment. In this case, you’ll need to contact the merchant and ask them to refund the money using a different method.
They can usually issue the refund using the original authorisation code or to your new card details. If you don’t receive the refund, please get in touch with our team and we can help you raise a dispute.
If the refund was linked to a Wallet (like a Space) that you've since closed or archived, the money will be redirected to your main Yeeld account.
Chargebacks
If you’ve disputed a payment made on a virtual card and your chargeback is successful, the refunded amount will be returned to the Wallet the card was linked to at the time.
