How to Manage Your Accounts in Yeeld

Connect all your accounts, track balances, analyse spending, and manage your financial life from a single place within the Accounts section.

The Accounts section is one of the most powerful areas of the Yeeld app. It brings together your Yeeld account and connected third-party accounts, giving you a complete view of your finances in one place.

You can access Accounts directly from the main navigation menu.

Why connect all your accounts?

To get the most value from Yeeld, we recommend connecting all of your financial accounts, including:

  • Current accounts
  • Savings accounts
  • Credit cards
  • Joint accounts
  • Foreign currency accounts

The more accounts you connect, the more complete your financial picture becomes.

This allows Penny and Yeeld's analytics tools to provide more accurate insights and recommendations.

Overview

At the top of the Accounts section, you'll see your Overview Balance.

This is the combined value of all accounts included in your overview.

If you connect foreign currency accounts, such as:

  • EUR accounts
  • USD accounts
  • Other supported currencies

Yeeld converts these balances into GBP using live exchange rates so you can view your finances as a single figure.

Important

These conversions are indicative only and may differ slightly from actual exchange rates.

Customising your overview

Not every account needs to be included in your overview balance.

By selecting the drop-down menu at the top of the page, you can:

  • Include accounts in your overview
  • Exclude accounts from your overview

By default, all connected accounts are included.

This allows you to tailor the overview to suit your preferences.

Penny Snapshot

Below your overview balance you'll find Penny Snapshot.

Penny Snapshot is an AI-powered transaction search tool that allows you to quickly explore your finances.

For example, you could search:

  • Car
  • Starbucks
  • McDonald's
  • Holiday
  • Fuel
  • Insurance

Penny will search across all connected accounts and return relevant transactions and insights.

Example: Searching "Car"

Penny may identify:

  • Fuel purchases
  • Insurance payments
  • Road tax
  • Parking charges
  • Vehicle maintenance

This helps you quickly understand how much a particular area of your life is costing.

Important

Penny Snapshot is not the full Penny experience.

It is designed for:

  • Intelligent transaction searching
  • Quick account insights

For deeper financial conversations, savings goals, and advanced analysis, use the full Penny chat experience.

Your Yeeld Account

If you have opened a Yeeld account, it will appear at the top of your account list.

From here you can:

  • View your balance
  • View your sort code and account number
  • Send money
  • Receive money
  • Access your cards
  • View account insights

Don't have a Yeeld account yet?

You'll see an option to open one.

Simply follow the on-screen instructions and your account will be created.

Connected Accounts

Connected Accounts are your external bank accounts connected through Open Banking.

For each connected account, you'll be able to see:

  • Account name
  • Account number
  • Sort code (where available)
  • Balance
  • Account insights

You'll also have the option to remove the account if required.

Reauthorising connected accounts

Open Banking permissions expire every 90 days.

To keep your data up to date, you'll occasionally need to reauthorise your accounts.

When there are approximately 30 days remaining, you'll see a:

Reauthorise button

Simply:

  1. Select Reauthorise
  2. Follow the instructions from your bank
  3. Confirm access

The process usually takes less than a minute.

Expired accounts

If an account is not reauthorised, it will move into an Expired state.

This means:

  • Yeeld can no longer receive new data
  • Balances may become outdated
  • Insights may become less accurate

You can reactivate an expired account at any time by selecting Reauthorise and following the prompts.

Viewing account details

Both Yeeld accounts and connected accounts can be opened to view more detailed information.

Inside an account, you'll find:

Transactions

View your full transaction history.

Spending Analysis

Break spending down by:

  • Category
  • Merchant
  • Time period

Spending Charts

Compare:

  • This month's spending
  • Previous month's spending

You can also move between different months to analyse trends over time.

Account Insights

View AI-powered insights across areas such as:

  • Money In & Out
  • Spending
  • Bills
  • Trends
  • Financial behaviours

These insights help you better understand how money moves through each account.

Consistent experience across all accounts

Whether you're viewing:

  • Your Yeeld account
  • A savings account
  • A credit card
  • A connected bank account

You'll have access to the same powerful tools:

  • Transactions
