How Do I Use the Invest Section?
The Invest section lets you open and manage ISA, GIA, and SIPP portfolios—set up investments, track performance, and manage deposits and withdrawals all in one place.
The Invest section is where you can open, manage, and track your investment portfolios within Yeeld.
Getting started
The first time you access the Invest section, you’ll need to:
- Accept the Investment Terms & Conditions
- Provide some personal details (such as your National Insurance number)
This is required to meet regulatory obligations for investment services
At this stage, you won’t have any portfolios open yet across:
- ISA
- GIA
- SIPP
Opening investment accounts
ISA and SIPP (tax wrappers)
When opening an ISA or SIPP for the first time, you’ll need to:
- Complete a declaration
This is a regulatory requirement that explains how these tax-efficient accounts work.
- A copy of this declaration will be saved in your “My Documents” section
GIA (General Investment Account)
- No declaration is required
- These accounts do not have tax wrapper benefits
Before opening a portfolio
If you don’t yet have an active portfolio:
- Deposit and withdrawal buttons will be disabled
- This is because there is no portfolio to move funds to or from
Creating a portfolio
When opening a portfolio, you’ll go through a few steps:
1. Name your portfolio
- Choose any name or select from predefined options
2. Choose your investment amount
- A minimum deposit is required
- This is because you are actively investing into a fund
3. Set up recurring investments (optional)
- Choose to invest automatically:
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- You can set this up later or cancel it anytime
Suitability assessment
You’ll be asked a few questions about:
- Your goals
- Your financial situation
There are:
- No right or wrong answers
- Nothing that will block you from opening a portfolio
These questions are designed to help tailor your experience and ensure your portfolio is appropriate for you.
Portfolio construction
Once completed:
- Yeeld’s system will construct your portfolio
You’ll be able to choose between:
- Low risk
- Medium risk
- High risk
You can review and compare each option before confirming.
