What Should I Do If I Don’t Recognise a Card Transaction?
Seen something unfamiliar in your account? Don’t panic — there are steps you can take to figure it out and get help if needed.
Check the Details First
Before you raise a dispute, take a few minutes to double-check the transaction:
-
Could it be a company you or someone in your household has used recently, but under a different name?
-
Have you signed up to any free trials or subscriptions?
-
Could it be a regular payment you forgot about?
-
Have you used any digital wallets or services like PayPal that might show a different name?
Often, the merchant name that appears on your statement is different from the brand name you recognise.
Still Doesn’t Look Right?
If you’ve ruled everything out and still don’t recognise the payment, you can raise a dispute directly from your transaction feed.
Here's how:
-
Head to the Yeeld app
-
Tap ‘Accounts’ at the bottom of the screen
-
Choose your Yeeld account
-
Find and tap the transaction in question
-
Tap ‘Dispute Transaction’
-
Follow the steps in the online form
We’ll ask you a few questions to help us understand the issue and our team will review it and escalate it for you.
Need to Lock Your Card?
If you think your card has been used fraudulently, freeze it straight away:
-
Go to More > Cards > Select your card > Freeze
This will stop it from being used while we look into it.
