Why Do I Need to Check a Payee’s Name Before Sending a Payment?

Confirmation of Payee is there to protect your money — here’s why it matters.

When you set up a new payment or update an existing one,

Yeeld uses a security feature called Confirmation of Payee (CoP). This service checks the name and account details of the person or business you’re sending money to.

It’s designed to protect you from fraud and ensure your payment reaches the right account. Once we’ve checked the name, you’ll be shown a result — and you’ll still need to confirm the payment before it goes ahead.

⚠️ Important:
If the name doesn’t match or the account can’t be checked, do not feel pressured into sending money. Take a moment to verify the account details directly with the recipient, using a phone number or contact method you trust.

These checks are there to help keep your money safe.
