Will My Contactless Limit Work Abroad?
Understanding how your contactless limit applies when spending overseas.
If you’ve set a contactless limit in the Yeeld app, it will still apply when using your card abroad. For example, if your limit is set to £30, that would convert to the local currency based on the current exchange rate — in Spain, that might be around €35.
If you haven’t changed your contactless limit (which defaults to £100), then local country rules will also apply. Each country has its own contactless limit, and some may be lower — or higher — than £100. In these cases, you might be asked to use Chip and PIN, even for smaller purchases.
